GARMENT FINISHING THAT ADDS VALUE TO YOUR MERCH

WHAT IS GARMENT FINISHING?

Let me start by explaining the term ‘garment finishing’ and what it entails. So, think of it this way; it’s all the extra add-ons you add to your product that creates a superior brand experience for your fans. This is besides the kind of branding (prints, embroidery, design) and garment choice you go for, as well as packaging. But, it goes without saying that it is always better to push for quality over quantity; rather send out a smaller batch of premium products than more of a cheap product. Merch that you can be proud of and something that your fans would love to wear and be seen in.

DOES THE GARMENT HAVE AN EFFECT ON THE BRAND EXPERIENCE?

The type of garment that you end up going for is what your fan/client will feel on their skin, you don’t want to send them a product that doesn’t feel good and that piece of merchandise that you and your fan spent money on ends up at the bottom of a stack of shirts. If you’re not too sure where to start on garment choice or if you’re looking to explore different garments; we have a garment review section on our site with a whole lot of options to choose from and all of them have our stamp of approval.

ADD-ONS THAT ADD VALUE TO YOUR MERCHANDISE.

With that out of the way, let’s jump into the finishing and add-ons. The most common type of add-on that makes the world of a difference to any garment – relabelling. This is the process where the standard label on the garment is carefully removed and replaced with your own logo. There are two ways of going about this – you can go for a printed label or you can go the custom woven label route. No one of these two is better than the other, it all comes down to personal taste and the feel you want to add to your merch. This is a super easy and affordable way to add value to your products, as well as a superior brand experience. You can get creative with this, add a personalized message or catchphrase that is connected to your band or brand.

Now, if you’re looking to take things to the next level and add more than just your standard neck label/inner neck print, you can always look into sleeve labels or hem labels. The great thing about going this route is that you can do different sizes and placements as you please. Just keep in mind that with labels, normally there will be a minimum order quantity of 1000. We offer woven labels in 5 different shapes and sizes that you can check out here.
